This weeks events:
Saturday, June 23 – The Ultimate ATV Experience – Mud Bogs, Motocross, and Dirt Drags at Wittenberg
Offroad Raceway.
Saturday, June 23 – Northern Cup Motocross Series – Round one of double-header weekend at Pine
Ridge Raceway.
Sunday, June 24 - Northern Cup Motocross Series – Round two of double-header weekend at
Wittenberg Offroad Raceway.
The Wittenberg Offroad Raceway has been transformed into an ATV playground for Saturday’s event.
There is one spot with a perfect view of the Mud Bogs, Dirt Drags and Motocross track. The fact that all
three events take place simultaneously and you don’t even have to turn your head to see any of them
will definitely make this the spectator “hotspot.” Add to the fact that the “Muddy 13 Party Wagon” will
keep you entertained between bogs and Fantasy Moto is putting up $100 for the infamous Muddy 13
Dash for Cash. Oh yeah, the Dash for Cash is an open class – no trucks, no bikes, no ATVs – open to
anyone who wants to race through the bog on foot!
We are expecting some hyper motivated, arm stretching, nitrous fed rockets over on the
MaxPower/RPMs drag strip as well – 0-80 mph in 300 feet! Get on, sit down, shut up and hang on!
These boys and girls are crazy. If you’re interested in drag racing there is a sight you absolutely have to
check out if you’re from the Midwest – www.atvhpjunkies.com - some serious power lurking on that
site.
There is really not much to say about quad motocross racers – they’re not right, plain and simple – and
we mean that in a good way. Anyone that can jump an ATV 100 feet through the air gets an ada boy
from us. No thanks, but they sure are fun to watch. Expect to see several #1 Nationally ranked racers
on the starting line this weekend as “Factory Sam Rowe” and Cody Janssen bring their talent back to
Wisconsin on an off weekend from the hectic WPSA National Schedule. Toss in Cory Gauthier and
Eddie Degeneffe and we are going to have an all out war in the A classes on Saturday. Hopefully we’ll
also get to see current National #1 Joe Havel on the line?!
This marks the first time this season that all three disciplines perform at the same venue on the same
day. If you’re an ATV enthusiast – Wittenberg is the place to be on Saturday!
Did we forget to mention that the “Lucas Oil Ultimate ATV Experience” at the Famous Crandon
International Raceway is just around the corner as well – July 28th and 29th? Did we also forget to
mention that the event purse for that weekend is approaching an estimated $10,000? That is not a typo
folks, ten thousand dollars = 100 Benjamin Franklins! If it isn’t already on your calendar, get up right
now and stick a posty to the refrigerator! July 28-29, 2007 – Crandon, WI – trail riding, obstacle course,
Cross Country, TT, Motocross, Mud Bogs, Dirt Drags, new model test area and sooo much more!
Ok, ok – the bike guys are sick of hearing about quads, we know, we know. The Northern Cup
Motocross Series rounds 3 and 4 are taking place at Pine Ridge Raceway on Saturday and Wittenberg
on Sunday. Don’t forget to bring an extra item or two to be thrown towards the fundraiser for Nathan
LaPorte at Ridge on Saturday. Nathan was injured during the LL Qualifier back in May at Pine Ridge
and the family is facing some hefty medical bills.
FREE Answer Gear, Engine Ice, Scott USA merchandise and $100 in cash to some lucky folks making
the trip from Pine Ridge to Wittenberg. All you have to do to enter is keep your wristband/pit pass from
Pine Ridge on Saturday and turn it in at the “Rider Supply” trailer for a free entry into the drawing! It’s
